Ahhh, the weekend. We’re here, guys! This weekend, the ‘Burgh is expecting some amazing weather – sunshine with the last glimpse of summer weather upon us. What a better way to spend it than outside!
Lincoln Avenue Brewery has just the ticket for you this Saturday! Located in Bellevue just west of Pittsburgh, this brewery is producing excellent food and brews on the regular! From 1-9pm this Saturday, all things Oktoberfest will be unleashed. Plus, Lincoln Ave’s two festive beers will be released – the Oktoberfest and the Punked’in 2020 (Pumpkin) beer!
There’s a lot more going on than just a beer release. The street right next to the brewery, Hawley Avenue will be closed for the festivities. Local music from the Blues Orphans, will be occurring from 4-7pm. The menu will be chock full of German goodness as well. Locally made brats will be available as well as other delicacies. Yum! I’m sold.
If you don’t like festive beer, there are many other options that Lincoln Ave boasts. I’ve loved anything they’ve done with rye, so the Eye Spy Rye pale ale sounds great! Their gose series was a home run the last time I had it. The latest addition, Blackberry Gose Long Way should be just as tasty!
One of my favorite things about Lincoln Avenue brewery is that owners Grant and Lisa Saylor have made this place a key part of the community in Bellevue. I have every faith this event will be excellent! Remember to follow the social distancing guidelines set out by the brewery and wear a mask unless you’re eating or drinking.
If you ask me, this is a must-visit event this weekend. Cheers in October down at Lincoln Avenue this Saturday!
