With the weather slowly getting colder and we start to huddle up indoors, there is something to be said about having a beverage that warms us up. Look no further than The Veil’s (Richmond, VA) new Hollow Place variation.
The Hollow Place series has featured multiple, well-received variations, including Single Origin Coffee, Vanilla, and Hazelnut (to name a few). The newest edition to the lineup is the Enhance Coconut and Oreo.
This decadent imperial stout clocks in at 10.5% ABV, and pours as black as motor oil. The mouthfeel of this beer is what really sets it apart. It is creamy, with all the flavor nuances of roast, chocolate, and coffee you would expect for the style.
The bonus for this variation is the *Enhanced* treatment. This includes blending the beer with 21-month old aged Hollow Place and then adding Oreo and coconut. The flavors definitely are not subtle, so they should satisfy fans of past Oreo/coconut releases from the brewery.
Hollow Place: Enhanced Coconut and Oreo, is out now. These beers sell out fast, so visit The Veil’s Instagram and online store for upcoming releases.
