For those unfamiliar, Copper Kettle Brewing Company of Denver, CO are the ones with the 19.2 oz cans. The ones that are bigger than pints, but not quite tall boys? If you live in the Colorado area, you’ve probably seen their stuff on a liquor store shelf. If not, Copper Kettle makes some wonderful beers to take home in unique cans, available year-round.

This week, the brewery released their 2020 edition of Snowed In, their Imperial Oatmeal Stout, with Coconut as the featured ingredient this year. The fresh tapping was announced via the company Instagram on Friday, September 25th. The beer is described as “A velvety smooth imperial oatmeal stout made with fresh coconut flakes and chocolate and then aged in bourbon barrels.” With the crisp weather inching closer every evening, the timing of this rich release could not be better.

The beer is currently available in the Copper Kettle taproom on draft, as well as the notable 19oz cans that have become a bit of a signature for the brewing company. The newest edition of the Snowed In serious packs a mean punch with a dizzying 12.1% ABV. Stout season is upon us and I will personally be doing my best to get my hands on some of this brew.

Copper Kettle Brewing Company was founded in 2011 in the heart of Denver. They have numerous offerings on the taplist throughout the year, with a “core four” beers in cans that are available year-round. These core beers are comprised of the Helles Lager, Citrus Paradisi Hazy IPA, the flagship IPA, and the milk stout. As mentioned numerous times throughout this article, you can also find more specific and limited offerings in super-cool 19oz cans for the beer drinker who likes a little something extra. Check out Copper Kettle when you can!
