In this unique era of rising health concerns and civil discourse, businesses large and small are doing what they can to help further the causes that they care about.
For Weathered Souls Brewing (San Antonio, TX), they have spearheaded a brewing movement to address the racial disparity and policing policies that have been rampant as of late. The Black is Beautiful campaign seeks “to bridge the gap that’s been around for ages and provide a platform to show that the brewing community is an inclusive place for everyone of any color.”
By using a collaborative recipe that encourages participating breweries to put there own spin on a base Imperial Stout recipe, Weathered Souls wants to show that all shades of black are unique and fantastic in their own way. Any brewery can participate, so beer fans can help to get their favorite local brewers involved.
Highlighting the campaign, Weathered Souls is hosting a beer share where customers can trade their different versions of the “Black Is Beautiful” beer with other fans on October 3rd at the brewery. With over 1,000 participating breweries, you can look up the participating breweries closest to you at the Black Is Beautiful website.
