Sometimes too much of a good thing can be a bad thing. However, in the case of Monkish Brewing, teaming up with their friends at Trillium has made a good thing a great thing.
The breweries took a shot at brewing each other’s beer and then adding their own unique twist. Monkish took Trillium’s Vicinity IPA, and then double dry-hopped it with Citra and Galaxy hops. Trillium upped the ante by triple dry-hopping their version of Monkish’s Foggy Window.
Monkish’s “Freaky Friday” beer releases showcase them working with different brewers and recreating the other brewery’s beer on their own system. Adding a few additions or small changes, and you have something like the other beer but slightly different.
For this Freaky Friday, the brewery will also be releasing custom teku glasses. Sporting the “Monkillium” hybrid name on one side and a logo from each brewer on the other, this heavy-duty stemmed glassware is perfect for trying these releases “freaky” releases.
