When it comes to a Pittsburgh summer day, nothing  is better than time outside with a good beer. While we’ve all become porch drinking experts in this quarantined summer, breweries are being creative and offering up wonderful outdoor spaces for us to relax in.

Abjuration Brewing, located in McKees Rocks, is the latest brewery to think outside the box and create a fabulous new option for us! They’ve partnered with 10.7 Marina, located in Verona on Arch Street  to offer some riverfront drinking goodness. The marina offers rentals if you want to spend some time out on the water!

There are two great opportunities to grab a pint and some grub in this scenic space. The first opportunity is Thursday, August 20th from 6-9pm. Partnering with Wood Stoked Oven, celebrate the upcoming weekend with a pie and a pint! Saturday, August 29th provides a chance for Indian cuisine with Billu’s Indian Grill being the truck on the grounds.

The beer right now is out of this world as well. Abjuration produces unique, creative beers unlike any other in the ‘Burgh! The White Chocolate Raspberry Milkshake Ale is a personal favorite of mine and so balanced, not overpoweringly sweet and just the right amount of tart! The Smoothie Style Sour 1.1 is perfect for a summer night as well! Lastly, I need to get my hands on some Honey Lager 1.0 – clean with a touch of honey sweetness, this sounds like summer in a glass. Sign me up!

As a reminder, per the governor’s orders you must order food to have with your beer so come hungry! Grab your mask as well and make sure you have it on if you are not eating or drinking to maintain the proper guidelines.  These pop ups are weather-dependent and there’s the chance for more to occur, so stay tuned on Abjuration’s social media for more information!
