With craft beer a-plenty in this wonderful city, anyone’s beer needs can be satisfied. Each week so many amazing releases come out and there is literally something for everyone. Whether it be stouts, sours, lagers, IPAs, or even seltzers (owning my love for those bad boys), Pittsburgh’s beer game is strong.
This week, the release that excites me the most comes from Inner Groove Brewing! Everything I have had from them is straight-up phenomenal – I’m still dreaming about Melt with You (a waffle cone brown ale) from earlier in quarantine – WOWSA. The release from this week also gets me that excited.
Kissin’ and Squeezin’, an orange stout dropped this week. I haven’t seen one of these in the local craft beer world since I can remember! If you have read my articles, you know that I swing towards the browns/porters/stouts side of the beer spectrum. Bursting with both citrus and chocolatey goodness, I need this beer in my life pronto. An easy drinking summer stout, this is a 5% beer that won’t overwhelm you like some dark beers in the summer do .
And it’s been a huge hit! As I write this, it is available on draft only at Inner Groove because the cans are sold out! Well done, Pittsburgh! However, don’t let this discourage you. Inner Groove has limited outdoor and indoor seating as a great space to have this wonderful beer. They’ve also got Let the Mango Through, a wonderful fruity beer available to take home in 4 packs! Make sure you order a meal from the food truck on premises and make a great Sunday Funday out of it!
