There’s a new brewery popping up at 4312 Main Street in Pittsburgh’s Bloomfield neighborhood.
What was once The Shop, a local concert and event, will soon be transitioned to a 5,800 building that will consist of the brewery, a coffee and espresso bar (featuring Pittsburgh’s own Redhawk Coffee), and also an outdoor beer garden.
Owner and Founder Dave Kushner is no stranger to brewing scene and Trace is certainly not his first brewery. Dave spent time brewing at Boston’s Harpoon Brewery and Lord Hobo Brewing Company. He is currently the owner of Remnant Brewing in Boston.
Brewing operations will be headed up Brandon McCarthy, formerly of Church Brew Works, Rock Bottom and Cinderlands. Zach Colton, formerly of Strange Roots and Four Points will appropriately serve as “Head of Funk”, where he will head up their wild and spontaneous fermentation programs.
Katie Rado will serve as General Manager of the front-of-house. You may recall Katie from Spirit and Butcher on Butler, both in Lawrenceville.
The brewery is planning a Fall 2020 opening.
