I know it’s June. I know it’s summer. I know it’s time for fruity, light summer awesomeness. But guys, you know what really excites me? What really makes me want to head to a brewery and pick up a beer the second it goes on sale?
A potent, thick, heavy stout. Over 9% and I’m immediately intrigued. This weekend, Cellar Works Brewing, located north of Pittsburgh near Sarver, PA, has the brew that I’m most interested in.
French Toast Dreamscape Imperial Stout sounds straight up phenomenal. At 11% ABV, this is not a beer for the faint of heart. Conditioned on an immense amount of robust dark PA maple syrup, vanilla beans, and cinnamon sticks. Breakfast in a can? You bet. The individual flavors will sing if you sip the beer slowly and let them warm up. Count me in.
To-go ordering for cans of this beer begins Friday at 8pm. Set a reminder if you’re as interested as I am! Pickup starts at 2pm on Saturday. Limited draft is available starting Friday as well. Because of the potency of this beer, it’s being sold by the 2-pack at 12 dollars a can. Folks can order up to 1 four pack of beer.
I count myself among the ranks of the pastrybois, and will definitely be online for this one when it goes live!
