J. Wakefield inks deal with Publix, plan North Miami taproom

J. Wakefield Brewing, the graffitii-heavy brewery in South Florida, annoucned recently that they inked a distribution with grocery chain Publix to distribute their beers to 40 stores in South Florida.

The deal will put four-packs of two of J. Wakefield’s core beers, Hops for Teacher, a 6.5% ABV American IPA and El Jefe, a 5% ABV Hefeweizen on the shelves at Publix starting January 6th.

J. Wakefield may also make their way on to shelves at Whole Foods. The brewery announced initial talks with grocery chain to start distributing to their stores as well.

Jonathan Wakefield, found of J. Wakefield also announced that the brewery will be increasing capacityby adding four tanks to their Wynwood Brewery. Plans area also in the works to add a taproom in North Miami.
