Abjuration Brewing just put out v1.1 of their vanilla cookie milkshake ale.. and it’s my favorite to date.

Currently Drinking:

If your memory hasn’t slipped, you remember about a year ago when Abjuration Brewing put out v1.0 of the Vanilla Cookie Milkshake Ale (VCMA), an ode to the delicious Nilla wafer cookie (that I love!).

At that time, VMCA v1.0 wasn’t received pretty well, but the reviews weren’t crazy.

Well, I’m here to tell you that Abjuration has stepped their game up.

This past week, Dave and Tom released v1.1 of the VCMA and it’s my favorite beer of theirs to date. In fact, if they keep pumping beers out like this, be prepared to stand in line outside for the next one (IMO).

This Nilla-wafer inspired ale is everything you’d want it to be. Nice and creamy on the mouthfeel (thanks to the nitro) and an intense vanilla flavor on the nose and taste that quickly move over the palette and let’s that delicious cookie flavor come through.

This is one of the best beers I’ve tried in quite a while, and I can’t wait to dive in to the 4-pack I picked up on my way out. Looking forward to v1.2.

Cans and draft of Vanilla Cookie Milkshake Ale today at 5. Huge wafting vanilla on this vanilla bomb. (Can Release: VCMA…
